I'm finding the talking points when it comes to Egypt splitting along very interesting lines. It's holding up a magnifying glass to the conservative movement, and really shining a light on who is still a neocon and wants to drag on back down that path, and who really believes in freedom and democracy.
When I see Egypt, I see a downtrodden people attempting to force a government to become more open and democratic. To turn towards more freedom, not less. When these others see Egypt, they concern themselves with keeping a second, possibly worse regime, from taking over, like what happened in Iran.
These are different times, and those are different things. I say, let's embrace and help the Egyptians realize their dream of an open democratic and free nation, not prop up tyrants because "It's always been that way."
