[/caption]At CPAC, we need to focus on the fiscal, as I mentioned in an earlier post. The mainstream media, and various groups with axes to grind, such as GOPROUD will attempt to refocus the spotlight on the social issues that we disagree on, like gay marriage, pot smoking, abortion etc.
While these are important issues, we have to remain laser focused on the issues which bring us together, such as fiscal ones. Firstly, none of those other issues have the capability to truly destroy this country like fiscal issues can, and secondly, I think we can all agree that when it comes to social issues, the state has no business FUNDING any support of those issues. If you ask me, all of the above, plus more, are deeply personal, and the state should have no say in, and should definitely not support or work against with taxpayer funds.
So lets agree: focus on the fiscal issues, and focus on keeping the social issues personal.
